Beyond the classroom
All families are welcome and encouraged to participate in all activities and events at the Greenburgh
Hebrew Center. Synagogue membership is not required for participation. Invite friends and family.
At Greenburgh Hebrew Center Early Childhood Center, learning extends far beyond the walls of our classrooms. We believe that every child thrives when given opportunities to explore, celebrate, and connect with others in a nurturing environment. Our enriching programs and special events foster curiosity, creativity, and community—helping children build joyful memories and meaningful relationships that last a lifetime.

Celebrate Shabbat—Family Style
All families are welcome to join us for Mishpacha on the High Holy Days and every month!
Mishpacha Shabbat is a cherished monthly tradition, inviting families with young children (ages 0–6) to come together in a joyful, interactive celebration. Through music, movement, and prayer, children and parents experience the warmth and beauty of Shabbat in a way that is accessible and engaging for all. Each gathering includes hands-on activities tied to Jewish holidays or Torah stories, fostering a sense of wonder and belonging. After the service, families are invited to share a delicious lunch and connect with new friends.

A Lifelong Love of Learning and Community
The Greenburgh Hebrew Center Religious School offers a warm, welcoming, and nurturing environment where children grow in their Jewish identity and love of learning. Our dedicated educators inspire students to explore Hebrew language, Jewish holidays, and traditions in engaging, age-appropriate ways. Through joyful celebrations, hands-on projects, and meaningful connections with peers and the wider GHC community, children gain confidence, pride, and a sense of belonging. Our goal is to instill a lifelong appreciation for Judaism, foster a love of Israel, and empower every child to live joyfully and compassionately—both within our congregation and beyond.
